Oshkosh, Wisconsin: Little-Known Patron Leaves $1.1 Million to Oshkosh Library (Video)

Christmas comes early at the Oshkosh Public Library after a late donor provided an unexpected gift.

The $1.1 million is one of the largest monetary contributions ever for the library, from a donor only a few people knew.

“Floored. Would that be a good word? I was really in awe, and very grateful for the gift,” library director Jeff Gilderson-Duwe said.

The money came from Marjorie Drexler, who passed away in August, 2010. Very few people suspected she had money.
