Milestones: 100 Mobile Apps Now Listed in U.S. Government Directory

A quick note to point out that the directory of mobile apps (a resource we mention regularly on INFOdocket) has reached the 100 apps mark with the addition of the QuitStart iPhone app from the National Cancer Institute.

The directory contains iOS, Android, and Web apps. A Spanish language version of the directory is also available. All apps in the directory are produced and made available by federal government and military agencies and organizations.

The directory is both browsable and keyword searchable. Here’s a link to the directory with entries sorted alphabetically. Three other sorts are available.

A bit more from the HowToMobile Blog:

Launched in July 2010, it is the government’s primary citizen facing mobile gallery that features mobile websites and apps produced by the federal government for public audiences. Other apps in the gallery include IRS2Go, FAA Mobile, MyTSA App and U.S. Postal Service App.

Make sure to take a look and let others know about this useful directory.
